Ugur Ayturk
PhD
Ugur received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bogazici University in Turkey. He earned his MS and PhD degrees at Colorado State University under the supervision of Dr. Christian Puttlitz. He then joined Dr. Matthew Warman’s lab at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School as a postdoctoral fellow. At Children’s, Ugur has developed genomics-based approaches to studying skeletal biology, and contributed to the identification of disease causing mutations in children with skeletal and vascular anomalies. He is currently a Research Associate at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Instructor in Orthopaedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Starting Fall 2017, Ugur will join the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York as an Assistant Scientist and Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College.
