Ben Gadomski
PhD
Dr. Gadomski enjoys teaching the foundations of mechanical and biomedical engineering to undergraduate students. He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Trine University and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Colorado State University while under the supervision of Dr. Puttlitz at the Orthopaedic Bioengineering Research Laboratory. He accepted a faculty position in 2015 at Colorado State University (CSU) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and is currently appointed as an Instructor. Dr. Gadomski teaches courses in the subjects of mechanical experimentation, mechanical design, dynamics of machinery, machine design, and biomedical engineering experimentation.
Prior to teaching at CSU, Dr. Gadomski developed and patented spinal implants to treat damaged and degenerated spinal conditions and has research experience in the areas of orthopaedic biomechanics including finite element modeling of biological tissues, experimental testing of spinal implants, and the investigation of low-gravity conditions on skeletal remodeling and fracture healing. His most recent research involves the investigation of traumatic spinal cord injury risk during patient intubation procedures.
When not in the classroom, you can find Dr. Gadomski riding and racing his bicycle through the Colorado mountains.
