Jake Wolynski
PhD
Jake graduated from Colorado State University in 2017 where he received a BS in Biomedical Engineering and a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He began assisting in the Orthopaedic Bioengineering Research Laboratory in 2015. Jake spent the summer of 2016 as a Research Fellow in Jaipur, India where he established a finite element model to investigate the failure methods of a prosthetic foot for use in developing nations. During the 2016-2017 school year, he worked within a small team to develop a mechatronic spinal testing apparatus for the laboratory. This device automatically quantifies the mechanical properties of cadaveric spinal segments through a system of motors, computer programming, and motion tracking cameras.
